FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the items original?

Yes. Every item offered as original is examined and researched before it is listed. Where a piece has been restored, or where it is a reproduction, it is clearly identified as such in the title and description — never presented as something it is not. See how we describe items, and browse our restored and reproduction pieces separately.

What does “guaranteed original” mean?

“Guaranteed original” means the item is a 100% original period item: made in the period, not a later copy or a reproduction. Restored, refurbished and reproduction items are always labelled as such in their title and description; see How we describe items. If you have any doubt, ask before ordering: we will send extra photographs of stamps, markings and construction.

How is condition described?

Condition is described honestly and in detail, with photographs of the actual item you will receive. Excavated relics are sold as relics: corrosion, damage, paint loss and missing parts are part of what they are, and they are described rather than hidden.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. We ship worldwide. Parcels are sent from Russia; larger items such as helmets may be routed via Armenia, depending on the destination and current logistics. Shipping is not calculated at checkout: small items are approximately €20–€30 and larger items such as helmets approximately €50–€80, and we confirm the exact cost by email before any payment is due. Every parcel is packed for the journey and sent with tracking.

Are there any restrictions on what can be shipped to my country?

Import rules for historical militaria differ from country to country and are the buyer’s responsibility to check before ordering. Some categories cannot be sent to certain destinations. If you are unsure, write to us before you buy and we will tell you what we can do.

How long does delivery take?

Estimated delivery is 30–50 days. The exact time depends on the destination, the postal service and customs. You receive a tracking number as soon as the parcel is dispatched.

How can I pay?

No payment is taken on this website. Placing an order sends us an order request; we then contact you by email to confirm availability, the delivery address and the final total, and only after that do you receive payment instructions. At checkout you simply state a preferred method: PayPal, to which a 5% transaction fee is added, or Bank Transfer, which carries no additional fee. Prices are shown in euros, and your bank converts to your own currency at its own rate.

Can I return an item?

No. All sales are final: every piece is a unique historical artefact and cannot be returned. Please read the description and study the photographs carefully before ordering, and ask us anything beforehand — we are glad to send additional photographs, measurements or detail shots. Because every order is confirmed by email before any payment is made, you have a further opportunity to ask questions first.

Do I need an account to place an order?

No. You can submit an order request as a guest — an account is not required.

If you register through My Account, you create your account with your own username, email address and password.

If you place an order request as a guest, an account is created for you automatically using the email address you give at checkout. You will receive an email with your username and password, sent just before your order confirmation, and you can change that password at any time under Account Details.

Either way, you can log in at My Account to see your orders and keep your delivery address up to date.

What does SOLD OUT mean?

Every item is unique — there is only ever one of each. Once it is sold it cannot be reordered. Sold pieces move to the Archive, which stays online as a record of what has passed through our hands.

Can you find a specific item for me?

Often, yes. Tell us what you are looking for at [email protected] and we will let you know when something suitable comes in.

Do you sell items to promote any political ideology?

No. Every artefact is offered strictly for historical, educational and collecting purposes. We make no political statements and promote no ideology. History, not politics.
