Original German pickaxe dating to 1937, featuring a clear and well-preserved manufacturer’s stamp. An authentic pre-war German-made tool with strong historical character and excellent markings.
German tools were normally stamped with a maker code and a year of manufacture, which is what makes a clearly dated example useful for research and attribution. Legible stamps add considerably to the collector value of a pioneer or entrenching tool.
