Guaranteed original German M35 helmet in winter camouflage.
Whitewashed helmets were improvised at unit level during the Eastern Front winters of 1941-42 and 1942-43, normally with lime wash or water-soluble paint that wore away within weeks. Surviving traces of that finish on an M35 shell are valued precisely because so little of it normally remains.
